Hope for Rural Community, a registered community based organization that was formed in 2021, empowers marginalized Kenyan communities with sustainable & scalable entrepreneurship, Health,Gender Equality programs and ICT.
Who We Are
Our aim is to reach out to marginalized and rural communities in the Western regions of Kenya. We focus on Economic Empowerment, Gender Equality, Mental Health, and SRHR programs.
We take a participatory approach by immersing ourselves in the community we work with to understand the challenges and develop context-specific solutions with a focus on co-creating sustainable solutions for economic and health empowerment.
We complement these efforts by offering a holistic approach to community development. We want to stimulate awareness and encourage community involvement to create sustainable solutions for health and economic empowerment.

To build a just and equitable community with access to opportunities. We envision a world where there are no marginalized communities since all people, regardless of their physical location, have access to dignified and fulfilling work.

Our Causes
Skill Up, Mentorship and Coaching Programs
We provide training, mentorship, coaching, and incubation services to help youth and women start and grow sustainable businesses. Our mentorship and resources support MSMEs for long-term sustainability.
Vijana na Biz
We promote sustainable and scalable entrepreneurship as a career path for young people, helping them turn ideas into business opportuntities. Our approach fosters entrepreneurship culture, improves access to finance and markets, strengthens youth-led organizations, and supports evidence-based advocacy.
Keep a Girl in School
Education is key to breaking cycles of poverty and violence. By keeping girls in school, we empower them to become future leaders who drive positive change in their homes and communities.
Mental Health Advocacy
We tackle stigma and misconceptions surrounding mental health through education, community support, de-stigmatization campaign and advocacy. Our work aims to create awareness and improve access to mental health resources.
Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR)
We ensure young people have access to accurate SRHR information and services. Our focus is on empowering them to make informed choices while advocating for their rights free from discrimination and coercion.

Sustainable Development Goals
Good Health and Well-Being
Activities of the CBO include Mental, Health, SRHR Advocacy, HIV Testing, counseling, and support services. All activities incorporated with Life skills training and coaching.
Gender Equality
Empowerment of women and girls through advocacy that aims at ending all forms of discrimination, violence, and exploitation and promoting empowerment through technology.
Decent Work and Economic Growth
Activities of the CBO include Social and Green Economic Empowerment, decent job creation, encouraging formalization of small, medium, and micro enterprises, and linkages to sustainable financial services and markets.

Identifying and working with like-minded organizations to strengthen domestic resource mobilization, partnerships and objectively achievement of goals.

I founded Hope for Rural Communities CBO with a dream to bridge gaps and create equitable opportunities for all. In every community, there is untapped potential waiting to be nurtured. It is our shared responsibility to create opportunities where there are none and to turn challenges into stepping stones for growth.
